The disposal routes available to Alan Davies Waste Foods (ADWF) are varied depending on the type of waste and consist of the following; Composting (the preferred option), Rendering and Incineration. All disposal sites are licensed and registered with the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA). All sites are regularly visited by the local licensing authorities to ensure they meet with and maintain all local and national criteria.

 

Over the years the disposal of waste has been both damaging and expensive to businesses and to the environment. At ADWF we offer an alternative and sustainable solution for both the environment and the waste food producer. We also offer a waste cooking oil collection and disposal service where the waste oil is processed into bio-fuels.

All catering waste will be recycled into compost at a composting site as near to the waste producing site as possible and will then produce compost for local farmers. This will reduce the cost to the business by reducing unnecessary travelling, and will help the environment by lessening vehicle emissions.

Taking advantage of the services offered by ADWF will save money and will help to reduce the amount of waste going to landfill. Landfill taxes are increasing year on year and will continue to spiral upwards.

We offer variable options for the collection of food and oil waste depending on the type and volumes of waste, but whether it is large or small we will always find a solution and wherever possible a local disposal site.
