About ADWF
ADWF has been established since 1983 and has been dealing with the collection and disposal of all types of food waste.
In the years prior to the 2001 FMD outbreak we were supplying food waste to farms up and down the country which was then processed into animal feed. Since the 2001 FMD outbreak the feeding of food waste to farmed animals is no longer permitted so we have had to find alternative disposal routes.
During the earlier years we
built up a national network of farms. Some of the farms that no
longer have animals have changed into composting sites. Food waste
created by the U K Catering Industry has grown considerably over the
years and the services provided by ADWF have been in great demand.
